Say what? CBD has its own day…?
Yes! If you’ve read any of our previous blogs, you’ll know that Cannabidiol (CBD) products have gained an incredible amount of popularity over the last 5 years and the trend is not slowing down. The media, celebrities, athletes, and the general public are all leveraging the power of CBD products and sharing their positive experiences all over social media, so it shouldn’t be surprising that the chemical compound has its own day for celebration.
“CBD Day” is celebrated every year on the 8th of August and in this blog, we briefly look at the origin of this day, how it’s celebrated, and why it’s important.
What is ‘CBD Day’?
Not to be confused with other holidays in the same category, like 4/20, and National Hemp Day, which falls on the 4th of February, CBD day is a fairly new holiday that is the brainchild of a North Carolina business called CBDmd. The business approached the National Day Calendar, suggesting CBD should be given its own day because for decades, health practitioners all over the world have been recommending CBD products to their patients, as it serves as a powerful all-natural alternative to more traditional medicine and it has transformed millions of people lives for the better.
Much to the delight of CBD enthusiasts, the day was approved for August 8th.
How the CBD Day is Celebrated?
The core focus of the day is to educate the general public about how beneficial CBD can be for your mind, body, and overall health, and with this in mind, the activities of people and groups wishing to carry out this core objective are typically doing so through two lenses.
The day typically sees CBD enthusiasts and companies who manufacture and sell CBD products, booking lectures, releasing educational videos, and doing whatever they can to bring more people to the space.
CBD stores offer discounts to their customers and other promotional deals as a way of attracting new customers.
Why is ‘CBD Day’ important?
CBD Day is meant for raising awareness and spreading useful information about CBD and its wonderful health properties. It’s important because so often, people experiencing health conditions are given medicines that are harmful to their bodies, and sometimes, in trying to fix an issue, they create more for themselves.
CBD Day presents an opportunity to spread the message of how CBD-based products can help improve people’s health and wellness.
Note: Before celebrating CBD Day, be sure to familiarize yourself with the state laws and make sure that it is legal in the area where you reside.
